Bible
Classes:
We believe that the regular study of God's word is crucial to developing and maintaining a healthy spiritual life. We have Bible classes for all ages. Classes are age appropriate for all, beginning
with infants three months of age and continuing through adult. Sunday
morning classes meet from 9:00-9:45 AM. There
are also classes on Wednesday evenings from
7:00-8:00 PM, again, for all ages. Studies may cover a variety of issues but are always based on what the Bible has to say on the matter. Every member is encouraged to attend classes and to search the Scriptures to confirm that what is taught is true to God's word. (Acts 17:11) |

Ladies
Bible Class:
Each year, during the Spring and again during the Fall, several of the ladies meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:00 AM
at the building for a "Ladies Only" Bible Class.
GEMS (More Information):
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."( I Peter 3: 3&4) The goal of this program is to provide an opportunity for growth, encouragement, ministry and service (GEMS) for women within a framework that will not be burdensome in time and energy commitments. GEMS promotes Spiritual growth and fellowship among the women of our congregation. Teams of 8 to 12 women work together on a mutual goal or theme for a defined period of time. Teams schedule their “together” time in a way that is comfortable for the members. |

Fellowship
Groups:
On the third
Sunday evening of each month, many members of the congregation meet
in small groups hosted in members' homes. These small
groups are called Fellowship groups. They were
organized to allow the growing and diverse congregation of Christians meeting here in Manchester to have the opportunity to get to know one another on a closer, more personal level. The groups are rotated each year so members have the opportunity to be involved with other members who they may not otherwise have the chance to get to know. The goal is to grow in fellowship with one another on a more personal level and strengthen the bond of unity in the church. Fellowship groups also offer members the chance to invite others to experience Christian fellowship in a more relaxed atmosphere. Several members here at the Manchester church of Christ first became involved with the church by visiting a fellowship group with family or friends. |

Children's
Bible Time:
A special time dedicated to Bible lessons and worship training
for children ages three through nine. During the Sunday morning sermon children who wish to participate meet in their own dedicated classroom. Adult leaders who are skilled at teaching emphasize worship of the Lord using teaching methods that are developed for a child's
level of understanding. Children's Bible Time and Toddler Bible Time (2-4 years) includes singing, prayers, lessons
and activities that emphasize worship and prepare our children for
future participation in the worship service. The Children's
Bible Time is also used to train the children
for future leadership roles as adults by encouraging
them to lead prayers, songs, and read scriptures.
A nursery for infants is also available during the worship service. |

Ladies'
and Men's Area Retreats:
There
are two ladies' retreats and two men's retreats
held each year. Each September and October there
are both men's and ladies' retreats at Ganderbrook
Christian Camp in Maine. Each April there
is an annual Connecticut ladies' retreat.
Each Connecticut congregation takes a turn
at planning and promoting this event. Likewise,
each June a men's
retreat is planned at Kent Boys School in
Kent, Connecticut for the men of the Northeast
which includes Connecticut, Massachusetts,
Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, New York and
New Jersey. |

Youth
Ministry:
The
Youth Ministry currently serves over 30 6th -
12th graders. Sunday is the highlight of each week as our teens anticipate coming together
to study the Bible, pray, and encourage each
other during their own class. Our teens also get together
every Wednesday evening at 7 PM for further Bible study and discussion of topics relevant to their lives. Our Youth Group is ACTIVE. On any other given day you will find many other activities going on, all
for the purpose of growing closer to God and
to each other. These activities include ski
trips, coffee houses, retreats, summer camp,
youth rallies, camping trips, Six Flags trips,
and just hanging out with Christian friends and mentors in area homes.
Our teens have demonstrated their faith
through participation in local service projects, adopting a child
in Guatemala, leading the congregation
in worship, and even traveling on mission trips abroad. Our teens are truly committed
to Christ!
